Five Points Distilling operates out of a 10,000-square-foot facility in Forney, Texas, about 30 minutes east of Dallas. Founded by Chad Auler and Jeremy Pitts in 2015, the distillery produces Lone Elm Whiskey along with other craft spirits. Auler comes from a winemaking family—his parents own Fall Creek Vineyards—while Pitts brought business expertise to the partnership. They named their flagship whiskey after the historic Lone Elm tree that once served as a landmark for settlers traveling through Texas. The operation includes both production space and a tasting room where visitors can sample their spirits and learn about the distillation process. They focus on creating Texas-made whiskeys using locally sourced grains when possible, embracing the state’s growing craft spirits movement. The facility reflects their commitment to quality production with copper pot stills and careful attention to the aging process in the Texas heat.
