Split Tail Bourbon Whiskey sits on South Main Street in Shattuck, Oklahoma, a small town in the northwestern part of the state near the Kansas border. Founded by husband-and-wife team Jason and Angie Hogan, this craft distillery opened its doors in 2018 after the couple spent years perfecting their bourbon recipe. Jason, a former oil field worker, got into distilling as a hobby before deciding to turn his passion into a full-time business. The distillery operates out of a converted building that houses their custom copper still and aging operation.
