High Bank Distillery Co. opened their Gahanna location in 2019, bringing their craft distilling operation to this Columbus suburb after establishing their original footprint in Grandview Heights. Founded by brothers Matt and Robbie Bebb along with business partner Jamie Harkins, the distillery occupies a modern 8,000-square-foot facility on East Johnstown Road that houses both production and tasting operations. The team produces bourbon, rye whiskey, vodka, and gin using a combination of traditional methods and modern equipment. Matt Bebb, who serves as head distiller, brings years of experience in craft brewing before transitioning to spirits production. The Gahanna location represents the company’s expansion from their smaller original site, allowing them to increase production capacity while maintaining their focus on small-batch, locally-made spirits. The facility features copper pot stills and includes space for barrel aging, with the team sourcing grains from Ohio farms when possible. You’ll find a welcoming tasting room where visitors can sample their lineup of spirits and learn about the distilling process from knowledgeable staff who are passionate about craft spirits and the local community.
