ABOUT THIS DISTILLERY

Industrial Suite in Concord Making Real Whiskey

Steadfast Spirits Distilling Co. sits in an industrial suite on Hall Street in Concord, New Hampshire’s Uptown district. Founded by Jeremy Anderson and his business partner in 2019, this small-batch operation emerged from Anderson’s transition from homebrewing to distilling. The duo converted a modest 1,200-square-foot space into a working distillery, installing a custom copper still system and creating New Hampshire’s newest craft spirits producer. They focus on bourbon, rye whiskey, and vodka, with plans to expand their aging program as their initial barrels mature. What started as weekend experiments in Anderson’s garage evolved into a legitimate distillery operation that’s slowly building recognition in New Hampshire’s growing craft spirits scene. The space doubles as production facility and tasting room, where visitors can sample their current releases while watching the distillation process happen just feet away. It’s the kind of intimate setup where you’ll likely meet the founders during your visit, and they’re eager to talk about everything from grain sourcing to barrel char levels.

WHAT SETS THEM APART

From Homebrew Garage To Commercial Still

You’re watching a distillery literally grow up before your eyes. Most craft distilleries open with significant capital and aged inventory, but Steadfast started lean and authentic. Anderson sources grain from New Hampshire farms when possible, creating a genuinely local product rather than just slapping a state label on sourced whiskey. The operation runs on a 300-gallon copper pot still, small enough that each batch gets personal attention but large enough to produce commercially viable quantities. What’s genuinely different is their willingness to let visitors see the unsexy parts – the grain handling, the cleaning processes, the quality control testing that happens between batches.

THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE

No Polish, No Scripts Just Pure Process

You’ll walk into what feels more like a working workshop than a polished tasting room. The space smells like grain mash and copper, with the still dominating one corner and barrels stacked along the walls. Anderson or his partner usually handle tastings personally, pouring samples while explaining their process in detail. The experience is conversational rather than scripted – you can ask about specific techniques, taste spirits at different proof points, and see how small adjustments affect the final product. Visits typically last 30-45 minutes and feel more like hanging out in someone’s garage project than a formal tour.

IS IT WORTH VISITING

For Spirits Nerds Absolutely Worth It

If you’re interested in craft spirits and want to see how small distilleries actually operate, absolutely. This isn’t the place for Instagram photos or polished experiences – it’s for people who want to understand the nuts and bolts of distillation. Bourbon collectors might find it interesting to taste spirits from a distillery that’s still finding its voice, though don’t expect the complexity of aged products from established operations. The value is in the education and the chance to interact directly with the people making the spirits.

⚠️ VISITING TIPS

Call ahead or check their Facebook page before visiting – hours can be irregular when production schedules take priority. Parking is available in the shared lot, but the building entrance can be tricky to find the first time. Ask Anderson about his grain sourcing and barrel selection process if you want to get him talking. Don’t expect a lengthy tour – the entire operation is visible from the tasting area. Their vodka is more polished than their aged spirits at this point, so start there if you’re skeptical about young craft distilleries.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Steadfast Spirits Distilling Co. — Visitor FAQ

How long has Steadfast Spirits been operating?
They opened in 2019, so their aged spirits are still young. The bourbon and rye are developing but don’t expect the complexity of 8-year products. Their vodka is the most refined offering at this point.
Can I just show up for a tasting?
You should call ahead or message them on Facebook. Since it’s a small operation, they might be in production mode or closed for equipment maintenance. They’re accommodating when available but can’t always handle walk-ins.
What should I expect during a visit?
Think working distillery first, tasting room second. You’ll see and smell the production process, taste young spirits, and learn about small-batch distillation. It’s educational and authentic rather than polished and commercial.
