Don’t Miss It: High Bank’s New OHLQ Traveler’s Series Might Be One of Ohio’s Most Exciting Whiskey Drop Yet

High Bank Distillery and OHLQ Team Up for “Traveler’s Series” Single Barrels — November 2025 Exclusive

There’s something special about a distillery that isn’t afraid to blend craft, story, and place into the whiskey itself. High Bank Distillery, the Columbus-based award-winner behind the Whiskey War line, has teamed up with the Ohio Liquor (OHLQ) team to release an exclusive new series this November 2025 and it’s one that celebrates adventure and Ohio pride in every sip.

The Idea Behind the Traveler’s Series

Each of the four single barrels in this limited “Traveler’s Series” release represents a journey across Ohio from Lake Erie’s shores to the hills of Hocking. The distillery describes the series as a “tribute to exploration, craft, and community,” pairing unique finishing barrels with distinct regions of the state.

These aren’t your everyday Whiskey War bottles. They’re small-batch, single-barrel selections that highlight what makes High Bank’s blends stand out inventive aging, bold proof, and a flavor balance that keeps things exciting without losing character.

The Four Expressions

Whiskey War Double Oaked – “Lake Erie Shores”

100 Proof (50% ABV)
Whiskey War Barrel Proof gets a second round in new charred oak for 6–12 months, layering in deep vanilla, cinnamon, and toasted marshmallow over its apricot-and-honey backbone. A perfect fireside pour.

Whiskey War Double Double Oaked – “Ohio River”

115.96 Proof (57.98% ABV)
A third round of oak aging brings an intense depth: cherry tart, malt chocolate, and peppercorn over a warm caramel finish. This one leans big, bold, and leathery — a must for high-proof fans.

Whiskey War Cigar Cask – “Cuyahoga Valley”

116.92 Proof (58.46% ABV)
Finished in a Brazilian Amburana barrel for a few short weeks, this one explodes with tropical fruit and sweet spice — think banana cream, cedar, and pineapple. Unique and undeniably modern.

Whiskey War Barrel Select – “Hocking Hills”

118.50 Proof (59.25% ABV)
Aged nine months in a French oak Cabernet barrel, this bottling layers fruit leather, brown sugar, and sassafras with a dry, peppered cherry finish. A fascinating marriage of bourbon and wine influence.

Sustainability with Purpose

High Bank continues its partnership with 1% for the Planet, pledging a portion of sales to environmental causes, fitting for a release celebrating Ohio’s natural landscapes.

When and Where to Find It

The Traveler’s Series will hit select OHLQ locations statewide in November 2025, while supplies last. As single-barrel releases, quantities are limited, so if you’re a collector or just love discovering unique expressions, mark your calendar early.

Final Sip

This collaboration captures what High Bank does best: telling stories through whiskey. It’s local, creative, and just adventurous enough to keep you curious about what comes next. Whether you’re chasing every Whiskey War edition or looking for that one special bottle to crack open by the fire this winter, this series deserves a spot on your radar.
