Two Trees Distilling Company sits on Continuum Drive in Fletcher, North Carolina, about 15 minutes south of Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded by husband-and-wife team Brad and Marsha Rodgers in 2015, this craft distillery started as a retirement project that turned into something much bigger. Brad, a former engineer, and Marsha, who worked in hospitality, wanted to create something together that combined his technical precision with her people skills. They chose Fletcher partly for the mountain water and partly because Western North Carolina was just starting to emerge as a craft spirits region. The distillery operates out of a modern industrial building that they’ve transformed into a welcoming tasting room and production facility, focusing primarily on bourbon, rye, and moonshine. What started as a couple’s dream to make quality spirits has grown into a respected local operation that’s become part of Fletcher’s small but growing craft beverage scene. The Rodgers didn’t have distilling backgrounds, but they approached it like any craft—learning from others, investing in good equipment, and taking time to get it right.
