Downtown Baraboo Distillery In an 1800s Building

Driftless Glen Distillery sits right in downtown Baraboo, housed in a restored 1800s building that once served the community in completely different ways. Bartley Blume founded this operation in 2012 after years in the restaurant business, deciding Wisconsin needed more than just beer and cheese to put it on the craft spirits map. The name comes from the Driftless Area, that unique geological region that somehow escaped the last ice age’s glacial flattening. You’ll find them producing everything from bourbon to gin using locally sourced grains when possible, with a 500-gallon copper still doing most of the heavy lifting.
