Angel’s Envy Distillery sits in a beautifully restored 1920s warehouse at 500 East Main Street in downtown Louisville, right in the heart of bourbon country. Founded by Lincoln Henderson and his son Wes Henderson, this operation opened its doors to the public in 2013, though the brand itself launched in 2010. Lincoln, a master distiller with 40 years of experience at Brown-Forman who helped create Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack, wanted to create something entirely different before he retired. The 78,000-square-foot distillery combines production with hospitality, making both bourbon and rye while offering one of Louisville’s most popular distillery experiences. What started as a father-son dream became reality when Lincoln passed away in 2013, leaving Wes to carry forward their vision of finished whiskeys. The operation produces around 200 barrels per week using custom copper stills, but what really sets them apart is their port wine barrel finishing process that gives their bourbon its signature character. You’ll find a modern facility that respects tradition while pushing boundaries, housed in a space that feels both industrial and welcoming. The distillery offers tours, tastings, and a full cocktail program, making it more of a bourbon destination than just a production facility.
